The only thing that separates this villa from the azure waters of the Aegean is a low, stone-built fence that sets the boundaries for the house’s garden -a fragrant composition of wild flowers, herbs and shrubs that line the distant aquatic horizon. Literally set on the beach, the 5 bedroom villa is the perfect island getaway -remote but not isolated, spacious yet intimate, thoughtfully designed to capture the essence of island living. Stone-paved terraces wrap around the house to create space for outdoor lounge and dining spots that are shaded by bamboo pergolas. Nature is everywhere, from the sea to the garden to the colourful pots and the trees that decorate the house’s back yard.
In the same spirit, the interior is decorated in rustic style, with vintage handmade furniture and antiques against a backdrop of white rough-hewn walls and terracotta-tiled floorings. A love for handicraft is eminent everywhere, from the furniture to the wooden ceilings and the artworks that adorn the rooms. The bedrooms are intimate, cosy and fitted with windows that frame stunning fragments of the landscape or the sea. The villa includes an independent guest house, two twin bedrooms that are ideal for children and a brand new independent bungalow.
