An old island mansion with a luxurious twist.
Situated within walking distance from Voutakos, a pristine bay at the tranquil south-west part of the island, this villa is a 7 bedroom residence that is grand in space and comforts yet easy-going in attitude. The villa sits on a verdant plot of land with few neighbouring houses, affording for privacy and relaxation. The house -a cluster of interconnected cubes in different sizes that revolve around a central yard- is built in levels, allowing for various lounging spots. The main terrace is dominated by a rectangular swimming pool that seems to be carved into the stone-paved deck.
The interior is decorated to the detail to evoke the relaxed elegance of an old island mansion. Vintage stone floorings, handcrafted wooden ceilings, carved doors and furniture are all conjured to create an enchanting, rustic-chic atmosphere. Island-themed ornaments and a few ethnic art objects complement the setting of a house that is designed to be lived in. In the bedrooms, both the ornamentation and the palette are subtler to convey a relaxing vibe. Tall windows are fitted throughout the house to bring in the sunlight and frame different views of the landscape. All the rooms open to terraces and verandas.
