A gorgeous summer home with traditional ambience and imposing vistas.
This villa is situated at an elevated spot about half a kilometre from the heart of Oia, a settlement built on top of a massive rock that rises out of the Aegean and is famed for its picturesque sceneries and dramatic sunsets. The 3 bedroom villa features comfortable verandas that offer mesmerising views of the glittering sea and the houses of Oia, sometimes whitewashed and sometimes painted in handsome pastel tones. The verandas are fitted with sitting and dining spots and a shaded swimming pool, all with panoramic views of the seascape.
The interior is traditional both in architecture and décor. The rooms are cavernous, each space leading to the next through narrow arches, and painted stark white. Elegant antiques are used to introduce the house’s personality. The bedrooms are stripped down to the minimum but lavishly upholstered to create an indulging atmosphere. At the upper level, there is an independent loft with a double bedroom that feels like it’s floating over the sea.
